Casa Mare Sole. The sea at the front door.
This charming light flooded 3 room holiday apartment – is situated on a small headland directly facing the sea. The house is directly on the crytalline sea of Ostuni. This holiday apartment is located on the first floor of a former farm, one of the very few ones you find directly on the sea. From both large balconies of the apartment you can enjoy unique and unlimited sea views!
Its name alone – Casa Mare Sole – indicates the positive feature of the house: it is surrounded by the sea and the sun and from the sun and the sea. Thanks to its south-east facing position it is illuminated by the light of the early morning. It is wonderful to have breakfast here and relax in the sun, or in the evening maybe enjoy a beautiful glass of wine in candlelight listening to the splash of the sea. Here you will wish that your holidays will never end!
A pair of steps leads one to a second bathroom with a glass shower cubicle (120 x 80cm); behind a white sliding door there is a recess with glass shelving which is an ideal place for storing toiletries. The taps are elegant and the large sun shaped mirror reminds one of the name of the property Casa Mare Sole.
A splendid panoramic terrace of 50 mq has recently been renovated; from here one can watch boats entering the small harbour of Villanova. The terrace is elegant and the floor is completely paved with local stone. At the centre there is a large hand-painted rose window which depicts fish trapped in a fishing boat net and the colours of the sea. The white stone benches invite one to relax and enjoy the sea view. A long L-shaped glass panel provides protection in the case of strong winds.
Beside the terrace there is another small room with an elegantly tiled stone bench where one can prepare a snack between sunbathing and taking a dip in the sea. Thanks to air conditioning (hot and cold air) the dwelling can also be used in winter months.

Arrival and departure
Keys can be picked up between 14:00 and 17:00
On the day of departure the house must be left between 07:00 and 09:30, with the
floor swept, the crockery and cutlery washed and the rubbish sacks taken outside.
Location
In the vicinity of the house, there are grocery stores, restaurants, pizzerias and bars and, in the summer, a supermarket. The picturesque harbour village of Villanova is only 900 metres away. Villanova is a traditional fishing village.
Larger supermarkets, shops and boutiques are located in the well-known white town of Ostuni (6km). At Villanova there are available on request: subaqua and sailing courses as well as boat hire and yacht moorings (the Lega Navale Italiana is located at the harbour). There is also a subaqua centre where one can fill up scuba tanks. Repairs and spare parts are available at Luciano sub.
Excursions:
Ostuni, an ancient town which is interesting during the day and beautiful when it is artificially illuminated at night. Grottaglie, the village of ceramics; Martina Franca; Monopoli, the charming harbour with its blue boats, Castel del Monte of Federico II, Trani and Giovinazzo near Bari, the Itria Valley with the villages of Alberobello and Locorotondo which are characterised by their famous trulli, in the south there is the city of Lecce which is the jewel of baroque style known as the Florence of the south as well as the Salento area.
